She is currently a federal scientist for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where she manages a research team for the government’s science and innovation branch and focuses on biopesticide technology and the development of green alternatives to chemical pesticides. In her position, Dr. Boyetchko is also responsible for presenting her team’s research to students, farmers, and colleagues, and for developing and evaluating microbial agents. Over the years, she has become renowned for her expertise in ecological crop protection, weed biological control, and applied microbiology, among other subjects.
