Determined and hardworking, Brittany Copponex is thriving as a reliability engineer and preventative maintenance leader at International Paper. She became involved in the company, which provides packaging, paper, and pulp products, because of the many opportunities for growth that a job in the field can offer. Ms. Copponex attributes her success thus far to her effort, time management skills, and ability to adapt to change. She also knows her strengths and weaknesses, and isn’t afraid to ask others for assistance when necessary.
To prepare for her endeavors, Ms. Copponex earned a master’s degree from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University, where she was a three-time recipient of the Outstanding Student Scholarship. She also completed an internship at Valero Energy Corporation, and mentored under Dr. Jenna Carpenter. Further, she has been active with prominent professional organizations like The Society of Women Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Engineers Without Borders USA, and Engineering and Science Magazine.
