In 2003, Kelly Tomo received a doctor of pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and moved a step closer to her dream job. She proceeded to complete a residency in pharmaceutical practice at Inova Health System, where she has remained for 13 years as a pharmacist. In her role, she is responsible for entering orders, keeping track of medication and intravenous equipment sales, and making intravenous solutions and clinical decisions.

With experience in pharmaceutical services totaling more than a decade, Dr. Tomo wants to be remembered for her hard work and caring nature. She has always desired to work in a profession where she could help others, and she attributes her success to her hard work and consistency. Dr. Tomo is very proud of everything she has done thus far in her career to help better the lives of others. In order to stay involved with the changes and updates in her field, she maintains affiliation with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Following her innate desire to help as many people as she can, if Dr. Tomo could fix one problem in the world today, she would eradicate poverty and world hunger. Drawing inspiration from her faith, if she could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, she would have lunch with Jesus Christ. Correspondingly, and in addition to her work with Inova, Dr. Tomo also supports the missions of Campus Crusade for Christ International and World Vision, Inc. When she is not working, she enjoys cross-stitching, reading, watching sports and caring for her cat, Tiger, and her dog, Abby.
