She joined Schlumberger Limited right after college, and currently has 11 years of upstream oilfield service and one year of downstream refinery oil and gas experience. Schlumberger Limited is the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers in the oil and gas industry. Ms. West is currently a test facilities manager, but has held various other positions with the company as well, including operations, recruiting, training, technical support, supply chain and manufacturing. She is really happy with where she is; she is a well-respected manager in a company she loves, she has a large sphere of influence within various networks, and she has as supportive husband and two active children.

Additionally, Ms. Navarro travels all over North America, the Dominican Republic, Canada and Puerto Rico to ensure that clinical human trials abide by federal code and U.S. FDA regulations.

Andrea R. Levine, M.Ed.

Garnering more than two decades of experience in autism studies and education, Andrea R. Levine continues to see success in her quest to prove that a learning disability does not have to hold you back. She is currently serving in her seventh year as a special educator at Baltimore County Public Schools. Through the school district, she drives from site to site to give special needs children individual educational attention. Each session is an hour long per child, and afterward, she compiles progress and updates reports for the parents and her office. Ms. Levine also attends meetings and events, provides education for special needs children from ages 3 to 5, sits on the IEP team, and tests children at the assessment center for the district.

Carolyn Taylor

As a woman in today’s world, Carolyn Taylor believes that perseverance has contributed to her success in the IT industry. After taking various computer courses in high school, she went into the military and was trained by them. They then sent her to Holland to work with a Dutch company, even though she didn’t speak the language. Ms. Taylor was assured that all of the technical manuals were in English, but she decided to teach herself how to speak Dutch anyway. The biggest challenge she had to overcome was the mentality in Holland that men were more knowledgeable than women in technology. Ms. Taylor witnessed senior male professionals consistently going to other males for assistance when she had more experience. She considers her greatest accomplishment to date being able to survive and keep her head above water.
