Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Betty Pellegrino-Bonanno has spent more than two decades developing her expertise in talent and franchise management, strategic development, public relations, quality control, and customer service. In the beginning of her career, she started and operated an Italian restaurant with her husband in Las Vegas, which grew to be so popular they opened a second location. After some time in the restaurant management industry, Ms. Pellegrino-Bonanno and her husband saw the opportunity to recreate different types of restaurants to accommodate trending consumer tastes, and proceeded to open about 50 food businesses through their new venture, Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group. The company has since become the largest hospitality group in Las Vegas, and operates through food courts at the MGM grant, the Venetian, and New York New York, as well as at hotels such as the Flamingo Hotel and the Luxor Hotel. They also have restaurants and franchises off of the Vegas strip in downtown Summerlin, and will be opening new locations in 2016.

Elena Dingu-Kyrklund currently utilizes her knowledge through her consultancy, Kyrklunds’ Consulting International, which she founded about a decade ago. She also works in higher education as a lecturer and a presenter at international conferences, and is involved in nonprofit work as an adviser, and at times as a translator and interpreter.

In that role, Ms. Dennison is responsible for marketing, running a team of sales managers and coordinators, and overseeing corporate complaints and sales calls within the team, as well as revenue and daily reports. The highlight of her career was working toward her goals and becoming a director.

After undergoing a bilateral mastectomy, chemo, and radiation therapy, she developed lymphedema in her right hand and arm. Ms. Ramsey knew that opening a business to help women lead fulfilled lives after treatment was what God needed her to do, and with her background in finance and management, it was a natural progression.

Dr. Nelson is passionate about student exam success, and always goes above and beyond to find ways to enhance the college experience. In addition to serving the school as an associate professor, she also acts as the coordinator of the UNMC College of Nursing History Museum.
