Julia Gahwiler grew up at DCT Industrial Supply Co., the business her father founded 50 years ago. She spent school vacations working there with her dad and brother, and when she came home from college for good, she joined the company full-time. While her brother was focusing on expanding and acquiring other companies, Ms. Gahwiler set her sights on improving the technology and infrastructure. She created a network to link all of their locations together, and provided a secure platform to grow as rapidly as technology was changing. Ms. Gahwiler is happy to carry on her father’s legacy, and is proud of growing the business beyond even his expectations. She also sleeps easier at night knowing that she can employ people and help them live the American dream.

As a good communicator with the ability to easily adapt to situations, she knows how to get the job done. As the chief financial officer, Ms. Collins is responsible for managing the IT and accounting department and handling insurance, auditing, payroll, and taxes. Her coworkers credit her efforts with saving the company during a severe industry recession.

Deborah H. Wheeler

An expert in business taxes, Deborah Wheeler spent years working for the New Hampshire State Department of Revenue before taking an early retirement in 2002. She had hoped to work longer, but, as the youngest in a family of 10, she found herself in the role of caretaker to her older siblings and ailing husband. Ms. Wheeler was eventually approached to run for office because of her involvement in the union and her active role in helping children. She is currently serving her third term with the New Hampshire General Court, and is inspired by her idol, Hillary Clinton.
