Passionate and dedicated, Sheila Hirz has garnered two decades of experience in multiple disciplines, including information technology, quality assurance, software validation, change management and document management systems. A programmer and an analyst with extensive hands-on experience and a computer science background, she now serves as the senior manager of computer system validation for a global pharmaceutical company within the Quality Assurance organization. She loves learning new things and directing people, and is tenacious, intuitive and detail-oriented.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Hirz earned a degree in organizational leadership from Roosevelt University. She started her career in information technology, and eventually moved to quality assurance. System validation and ensuring compliancy come naturally to her, and she is also very skilled in recognizing gaps in processes. Her biggest accomplishment so far has been obtaining approval for two main business processes that are now done electronically. Additionally, Ms. Hirz would love to see more women, including herself, take on leadership roles within the industry.

Ms. Hirz is self-motivated and wants to be a contributor to affect change. She wants to be known for her honesty, openness and consistency, as well as her ability to help others accept change. When she is not working, Ms. Hirz enjoys Pilates, yoga, vacationing in sunny places, and going to Universal Studios.
