Teresa Frisone is the current NA Sales Head of BioMonitoring for the pharmaceutical company, Millipore Sigma, which develops technologies and services for bioscience research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. She has been in this market for more than 25 years, and has a background in laboratory management, as well as expert knowledge in biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry and biopharmaceuticals.

Initially, Ms. Frisone chose this career path because it mirrored what she studied while she was in college; she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lipscomb University. After graduating in 1984, she became a Research Assistant III at Vanderbilt University, before eventually settling into her career with Millipore Sigma. She continues to maintain a passion for the industry, even after all these years.

Ms. Frisone has found that working as one of the only women in a male-dominated industry can be difficult, but she has found success through her excellent communication skills; she is able to communicate effectively with anyone about anything. Additionally, she also attributes her accomplishments to her transparency and authenticity.

In the future, Ms. Frisone hopes to be remembered as someone who made an impact on people’s lives and their businesses. She was particularly inspired by a course she took on leadership experience with the Center for Creative Leadership, and she is looking forward to continuing to grow in her role with Millipore Sigma.

Outside of her work, her greatest accomplishment to date has been her daughter. When she has free time, Ms. Frisone loves to work with her hands, and she particularly enjoys paper crafts, photography and making jewelry.
