Lynette Gray

Lynette Gray is the project supervisor for the Workforce Institute of San Jose/Evergreen Community College District. In this position, she is responsible for grant and project management, and coordinating services for special populations. She is also involved in grant and proposal development, research and resource support, and grants stewardships, through which she provides instruction, direct support and guidance for students.

Ms. Gray earned a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication studies from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree in special education from Touro University. She attributes her success to her attention to detail, as well as her compassion and empathy. She is very passionate about the work she does, and takes pride in all she has done to better the district, particularly obtaining a $13 million grant in June 2015.

Moving forward, Ms. Gray is looking forward to retiring in a few years; she is already training her successor to be able to continue her work when she leave this position. She wants to continue teaching literacy and English as a second language, and helping students find their passions.
