Passionate and dedicated, Amanda Perdomo is the owner of Don Sol Mexican Grill, a Mexican restaurant in southern Illinois. It offers a family atmosphere, clean environment, friendly staff and a variety of food and drinks. Ms. Perdomo became involved in the food service industry because her husband wanted to own a restaurant, and she has always enjoyed working with people. Together, they created Don Sol, which opened its doors in December 2007.

As the owner, Ms. Perdomo does a little bit of everything. She is a server, buses tables, acts as a hostess, oversees finances and bookkeeping, manages public relations and marketing, and deals with all issues that may arise with staff and/or customers.  Her excellent customer service and marketing skills have definitely helped make Don Sol the success it is today. She is looking forward to growing the business and expanding both personally and professionally in the coming years.

Ms. Perdomo is a member of the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce and Cambridge Who’s Who. When she isn’t at the restaurant, she can be found spending time outdoors or hunting with her family.
