Currently a self-employed accountant, Starr Griffin started her journey by earning Bachelor of Arts in accounting from California State University, Los Angeles, and a California tax certification. She proceeded to obtain a job doing personal taxes, and quickly realized she loves working with the public. She enjoys helping people get through the tax process, and is knowledgeable in a variety of topics, including tax auditing, sales tax, and bookkeeping.

Ms. Griffin is focused, committed and passionate about her profession, and also loves teaching and learning new things. Despite finance and accounting being extremely male-dominated industries, she has proven her abilities, and is now seen as a reputable figure in the field. Her dedication, outgoing personality, ability to understand new concepts, and excellent communication skills have paved her path to success. Moving forward, she hopes to pass the CPA exam, as well as receive a master’s degree and Ph.D.

Ms. Griffin is a member of the Internal Auditors Association and the Valley Management CalCPA Honor Society. When she is not working, she loves to travel, especially to great landmarks in the United States, and to Mexico.
