Initially, Dr. Teresa Scott became involved in her profession due to a recommendation she received while she was in medical school. During her fifth year, someone suggested that she look into dentistry, and it was then that she saw the profession as a great fit for her life. In 1995, Dr. Scott received a DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and she has been thriving ever since. She is a member of the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Women Dentists, the Holistic Dental Association and the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine.

Dr. Scott has 21 years of experience in dentistry, and is responsible for treating patients of all ages at her practice. She sees a number of young children and older seniors, and has developed her niche in “dental phobics,” or treating people who have had negative dental experiences. An expert in pain-free dentistry, she and her team believe that one’s mouth is the gateway to the rest of their body, so they work to ensure that the state of one’s oral health will positively influence overall health.

Dr. Scott notes that her greatest achievement is being able to give her patients a smile and great oral health. She has received a number of awards for her services, including being listed in Houston’s Top Dentists in H Texas Magazine, America’s Top Dentists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America and receiving an award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry. Looking to the future, Dr. Scott hopes to train a partner for her practice and work toward expanding, while continuing to serve patients to the best of her ability.
