After beginning her career in the tech industry as a receptionist, Sandra Rivera was then promoted to an administrative assistant position, and eventually advanced to a high level tech professional. Her current company, Duff & Phelps, provides consulting services to corporate legal departments, law firms and governmental agencies to help improve performance and efficiency. As the vice president, she is responsible for helping companies manage and implement technology trainings and solutions. Prior to this position, she also owned her own consulting firm for 11 years. Sandra E. Rivera Consulting Inc. provided project management, testing, training and post-training assistance throughout the software deployment cycles of its clients.

Ms. Rivera is certified in human resource training and development from the University of California, Berkley. She also received degrees in computer science, computer information systems and business administration. Looking forward, Ms. Rivera wants to be remembered for her friendliness, her collaborative attitude and her approach of instilling a genuine team approach in others. Her persistence and drive have allowed her to flourish in a male-dominated industry, as well as garner a Woman of the Year award. When she is not working, she enjoys crafting, crocheting and cooking.
