Influenced by her mother, Dr. Janan Sayyed decided to pursue a career in holistic, complementary and integrative medicine. Her mother always served as a source of inspiration for the doctor, as she believed in the importance of holistic and preventative medicine in relation to overall patient well-being and health.

Dr. Sayyed prepared for her career by receiving a master’s degree in nutrition, and degrees in chiropractic medicine and naturopathic medicine. She also holds licenses and board certifications as a holistic physician, chiropractor and clinical nutritionist. As the owner and director for Active Care Chiropractic & Natural Wellness Center, she works to help patients through a variety of natural methods, including physical therapy, cold laser therapy, medical massage, Reiki energy healing, stress management, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, mind-body medicine and integrative medicine.

With more than a decade in her field, Dr. Sayyed intends to continue her work and practice so that she can one day be considered a pioneer, motivational speaker and inspiration for all women. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and was also honored with the group’s Woman of the Year Award.
