After only eight years of service, Molly G. Slater has made significant progress in climbing the corporate ladder. She is currently the account development executive at West Corporation, which provides communication solutions that help brands create a connected customer experience through integrated technology solutions. In her role, Ms. Slater is responsible for ensuring the best customer experience possible by partnering with existing clients to identify and solve problems. She does this by working with clients’ IT, business and product departments to ensure that their strategies are aligned and any problems are identified and solved.
Ms. Slater’s listening and communication skills have helped her to develop a keen ability to identify the needs of her clients and coming up with the proper solutions. This strong communication skill set, coupled with the relationships she has created and cultivated with her clients, has led to her success. She received the Employee Excellence Award and the Exemplifying Core Values Award from West Corporation for her dedication and hard work with the company. She is inspired by the strategic vice president of client engagement for West Corporation, Courtney Snyder, who has supported her and acted as a role model.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Slater earned a Bachelor of Science in advertising with an emphasis on public relations and a certification in pragmatic marketing. When she first began working in business development, she started in administration and operations, and worked her way up. She has experience with everything from small businesses to Fortune 300 companies, and chose her current career path due to her prior experiences as a client relationship manager for West Corporation and as an account manager for Anderson partners. In addition to her work, she is also a member of Young Professionals, and is a supporter of the Ronald McDonald House.
Looking to the future, Ms. Slater would like to eventually create her own business, which will focus on helping women have a corporate and personal life balance. She also hopes to continue her education.
