Priscilla Parker initially began her career working within the finance industry. She always had an interest in becoming a nurse, however, and with the encouragement of her husband, she began taking the entry-level classes in 2007. Four years later, Ms. Parker graduated with cum laude honors at the top of her class, and finally earned a registered nurse board certification. She was also included in Who’s Who of Students in American Universities and Colleges for 2011.

Currently, Ms. Parker is working as a nurse at the University of Florida affiliated hospital, UF Health Shands Hospital. The biggest challenges she has overcome has been her age and working on her nursing degree. She prides herself, however, on being able to work very well with patients, as well as educate others that are entering the field. Ms. Parker is constantly being inspired by her patients, and wants to be remembered as a nurse who was there for both her patients and their families. Professionally, she hopes to continue working as an educator in the hospital or, even, a university. In addition, she also volunteers with the Guardian Angel Service Dogs, which involves training dogs for veterans.
