Clara Taylor has 22 years of experience working in the mining, industrial chemical, food, railway, and oil and gas industries. She became involved in her profession after being exposed to the oil and gas industry as an undergraduate student. She has worked with companies such as Exxon Mobil Corporation, Rio Tinto Alcan, Fonterra Tiwest, and most recently, WorleyParsons, where she was the major projects project manager. Most recently, she was responsible for leading an 84-plus person team in completing the compression upgrade detail design engineering of a major offshore facility for the Brunei Shell Petroleum Project.
Ms. Taylor attributes her success to her passion for engineering, determination, perseverance and her admiration of peers. Currently, Ms. Taylor is taking time off and studying in a business program and looking into taking an international internship. Never afraid of the challenge of the unknown, she is waiting for the right major project opportunity to present itself. In the future, she plans to continue mentoring and consulting, as well as continuing to grow and expand her career and work internationally. She will also continue volunteering with various organizations, including the Australian Red Cross, Inclusion Melbourne and the St. John Ambulance.
