Diane D. Purcell really enjoys the cost accounting world. As a financial consultant with Wells Fargo, she has the opportunity to work with people using her knowledge of financial services. Wells Fargo provides banking, insurance, investments, mortgages, and consumer and commercial financial services. Ms. Purcell is proud to be a member of the Diversity Team Member Network at the company.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Purcell earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree, both from Louisiana State University. She is also a certified professional accountant and a certified management accountant. She is inspired by learning new things and figuring things out; her analytical mind has really been a strength over the course of her career. Ms. Purcell considers her greatest accomplishment to be becoming a technical expert. She was the first person to learn the company’s systems. Ms. Purcell considers her mentor, John Pisa, important to her success because he pushed her outside her comfort zone.

In her spare time, Ms. Purcell volunteers at the Second Harvest Food Bank, and is affiliated with the Wells Fargo Golf Championship and Hope Heaven Classroom Central Reading. She also enjoys sewing, knitting, and spending time with her three children and six grandchildren.
