Maureen Votor-Seraneau initially became a massage therapist because, while her son was growing up, massaging him was the only way she could put him to sleep, so she decided to pursue massage therapy as a career path to continue to help individuals. Now wielding 10 years of experience in Swedish, deep tissue, stone and therapeutic massages, including Reiki, she is now pursuing independent appointments. However, in five years Ms. Votor-Seraneau hopes to open her own business.

Throughout her work-week, Ms. Votor-Seraneau massages patients and determines the proper type of massage to best help each individual client’s ailments. She attributes her success to her patients and their referrals. She is currently enrolled at Kaiser University, studying physical therapy, and has previously graduated from the Florida Career College with a massage therapy technician license, earning the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. Since graduation, Ms. Votor-Seraneau keeps abreast of changes in her field through her membership with the American Massage Therapy Association.
