Isabelle Mathieu

With more than 30 years of international business experience under her belt, Isabelle Mathieu has spent the past three years as the CFO for the infrastructure company, Vinci Group. In this position, she is responsible for running big projects on an international basis, including the creation and development of new structures, especially holdings and JV’s. She also works to become familiar with institutional environment interaction.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Mathieu earned a master’s degree in international economics, and received an executive master of advanced studies in international taxation. She participated in a number of courses and programs with the ESSEC Business School as well. She became involved in her profession because of the 25 years of experience she has in financial management, broad membership, projects and developing partnerships. Over the course of her career thus far, she has become an expert in corporate operational finance, international taxation and corporate governance certification. She is also practiced in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, Swedish and basic Chinese.

Ms. Mathieu attributes her many years of success to her ability to gain support from key people within different organizations. Her commitment to her industry even resulted in an award for being a business adviser to the French Embassy in Sweden, Uruguay, Netherlands and Singapore. She is very proud of the work she has done to develop a fully international profile through work assignments in EDF and Thales. Looking to the future, she hopes to move into a high-profile regional management position.

Ms. Mathieu is a member of the ESSEC Business School Alumni Association, the CFO Network and ESSEC Administratrices et Dirigeantes on LinkedIn and Women Leaders in Infrastructure.
