With 10 years of experience behind her, Carmen Griffith has thrived as the women’s ministries director for the Southwestern Union Conference of SDA. Through the women’s ministries department, she helps to empower women to use their God-given gifts and talents in their every day lives. In this position, she is responsible for planning conferences and retreats with the Southwestern Union Conference, as well as acting as a resource for the conference and other local churches.

Prior to this position, Ms. Griffith was a language arts bilingual teacher at Mansfield Independent School District for 15 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the historically black, Seventh-day Adventist institution, Oakwood University, and attended The Ohio State University to receive a Master of Arts in reading specialization. She is now a certified reading specialist.
