Armed with perseverance, enthusiasm and a passion for what she does, Julie Dodds has thrived in her time with Velocity Talent. The talent recruitment company is comprised of a small team of recruiting professionals who all share the goal of helping companies and candidates reach their full potential. They value integrity and follow-through, and as an affiliate of MRINetwork, one of the world’s largest executive search and recruitment organizations, they also have the resources to find top talent for the unique challenges facing companies today.

Initially, Ms. Dodds started her career in consulting with Deloitte because of her interest in helping people and building relationships. She eventually decided she wanted to pursue that further, and founded her company based on her passion for connecting people with their dreams. To prepare for her professional endeavors, Ms. Dodds earned an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in business and finances. She also holds an MPH degree in health policy and administration from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Idaho.

Looking forward, Ms. Dodds hopes to retire in six years and spend her time volunteering more and traveling.  She already supports ALS, the Portland Baroque Organization, and the Advisory Board of Lake Oswego whenever she can. Ms. Dodds also intends to use her position as a Rules Official for golf to give back and enjoy the sport more. Until then, however, she will not waiver in her dedication to her clients and the growth of her company.
