For nearly 10 years, Terri Smith has served as the environmental health and safety specialist for the Fortune 500 construction company, Fluor Construction. She is responsible for handling workers’ compensation, dealing with hospitals and attorneys and ensuring safety for clients. With industry experience totaling 14 years, in addition to a past experience as a paramedic, she is an expert in safety management, labor relations, performance management and employee relations.

Despite the long, hard days, Ms. Smith loves what she does. She has a great work ethic, and loves helping people. Her excellent people and communication skills make it easy for her to work with people and meet day-to-day challenges. In 2001, she was awarded recognition from International Who’s Who for Public Service Workers.

Ms. Smith also has a paramedic license and proud to say she is on the paramedic national registry. She is a member of the Society of Women in Nuclear, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and the National Association of Professional Women.

Looking to the future, Ms. Smith wants to continue being the best she can be. She also wants to continue her education and eventually be a part of a special response team.
