Comm.Adapt is a communications company that provides translation and adaptation, revisions, transcripts and proofreading services to its clients. For the past 19 years, Johanne Morin has been the company’s president. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing and managing all day-to-day business operations and development.

Prior to opening Comm.Adapt in 1997, Ms. Morin worked in a variety of translation and communication positions for companies like Centre Communautaire Sainte-Anne, Stamarine Associates and CGI. She is a certified translator, and has a bachelor’s degree in English and German literature. Ms. Morin is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in translation. She is also fluent in both English and French, and holds elementary proficiency in Inuktitut, Maliseet, Dutch, Latin and Old English. Further, she knows some Russian, German and Spanish.

Looking to the future, Ms. Morin hopes that she will gain more of an international reputation. In addition to her work expanding Comm.Adapt, she is also a member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters in Ontario. When she is not working, she enjoys sailing and reading.
