After retiring from a nursing career that spanned more than three decades, Elaine Rose decided to use her experience to open up her own leadership consulting business. Through Live Complexity Leadership Consulting, she helps individuals learn about themselves, develop leadership skills and improve their well-being. Dr. Rose also helps build cohesive teams, develops a health workplace and provides continuous leadership development opportunities for employees. She is mainly focused on developing and enhancing leadership skills in nurses because she believes that by teaching nurses these skills, they can better serve others.

Dr. Rose has a degree in nursing, and following her BN, she completed a Master of Health Studies in leadership. In 2015, in preparation for her work her consulting company, she went back to school and completed a Doctor of Management in organizational leadership. Additionally, she is also a Certified HearthMath coach and a certified facilitator and partner for Everything DiSC and the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.

As a woman in today’s world, Dr. Rose names her greatest strength as her openness, listening skills and ability to get along with others. She wants to share her knowledge and experience in leadership and nursing, as well as the importance of self-care and a healthy workplace, through speaking and writing. She feels that her passion for caring for others, as well as being surrounded by inspirational people throughout her career has contributed to her success.

Outside of her career, Dr. Rose is proudest of her children and family. She also supports the missions of the United Way and Partners for Mental Health, and is a member of The International Women’s Leadership Association. When she is not working, she enjoys gardening, knitting, playing with her dog, Sadie and spending time with her family.
