With more than three decades of experience in real estate, Donna M. Zavattieri is an expert in commercial and corporate real estate, asset management, real estate development, investment properties, landlords, and contract negotiations. She has had experience overseeing and managing all aspects of management and leasing, brokerage and sales for two major real estate companies in New York. Ms. Zavattieri has also sold numerous residential and commercial properties with her team, as well as crafted both purchases and sales of partnership interests as an account executive.

To prepare for her career in real estate, Ms. Zavattieri studied real estate brokerage at St. John’s University and real estate development at New York University. She also took management, broker and sales courses. Ms. Zavattieri began her career in 1981, working in the corporate accounting department for Helmsley-Spear, Inc. She then went on to learn about management and leasing under the mentorship of Irving Schneider in the Garment Center (today known as midtown south). Ms. Zavattieri eventually sold the company on ownership’s behalf in the fall of 2007  and went on to form Schneider&Schneider, Inc., where she worked as the Executive Vice President and Asset Manager until the fall of 2015, when she launched her own firm. Now, with her partner, Angelo J. Grima, she is currently the managing member of her firm, Safe Harbour Real Estate Group, LLC, a full-service real estate company specializing in brokerage, sales and acquisitions, and leasing

Her hard work and dedication led her to become one of only 50 women to win the Woman of Influence award in 2008, and to be included among select women in the Spotlight for Real Estate 2016 for the New York Real Estate Journal (NYREJ). She was also honored in Who’s Who in America and as a Top Female Executive in 2016.

In the upcoming years, Ms. Zavattieri plans to continue learning as she deals with the many different professionals she crosses in her field. She is currently a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA). A native New Yorker, she is very involved in her community, as well as an avid supporter of the St. Francis Food Pantry and Shelters, the Gambino Medical and Science Foundation, the Covenant House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and many other local causes. She enjoys mentoring young people, reading, and swimming.
