Mansfield, MicheleTitle: Associate Director
Company: Procter & Gamble
Location: Cincinnati, OH United States

Well-known amongst her peers for her excellence in consumer products and product innovation, Michele Mansfield has thrived at Procter & Gamble. The American multinational company is focused on providing consumer packaged goods to more than 180 countries through mass merchandisers, grocery stores, membership club stores, drug stores, and high-frequency stores. Their three main focuses are household care, health and well-being, and beauty and grooming. In her role with the corporation, Dr. Mansfield is responsible for leading innovation center operations and managing all lab and safety for research and development. Over the course of her journey with Procter & Gamble, she was also involved with creating new technological platforms and bringing various technical areas together.

The most challenging aspect of her career was being put into a role where the company was intentionally trying to increase gender diversity. Dr. Mansfield is a good listener, however, and bridged the communication gaps within her groups through strategy organization. She hopes to be remembered for helping the maximum number of people reach their potential at Procter & Gamble.

To prepare for her professional journey, Dr. Mansfield earned a Ph.D. in polymer science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  After eventually retiring from her job, she looks forward to becoming more involved in the nonprofit sector. Dr. Mansfield already supports Habitat for Humanity, the Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council, and the Toqueville Society level of the United Way.
