After more than 20 years of experience as an accountant in both the public and private party sectors, Nancy Kenney is now the corporate controller for Riverside Research, where she is responsible for applying acute financial acumen to manage finance and business functions across the enterprise, including accounting, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting. Additionally, she is an expert in financial analysis, change and operations management, government contracting and financing modeling and planning.

In order to prepare for her career in finance, Ms. Kenney received a bachelor’s degree in consumer economics and housing. She then received a master’s degree in accounting, and is a certified public account and chartered global management accountant. Prior to joining Riverside Research in 2013, Ms. Kenney was an accountant for ITT Corporation (now Exelis Inc.). Some of her previous titles include manager of strategic planning and corporate development and assistant controller. She is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Hand-in-hand with her work with her current not-for-profit company, Ms. Kenney is passionate about social justice and known for her unwavering commitment and measurable impact across diverse socioeconomic communities. She participates in food and blood drives, People to People, back-to-school supplies drives, Thanksgiving Day dinner food drives, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Haverstraw Meal Fund. Her dedication to her career was recognized by the National Association of Professional Women, when she was named 2014’s Professional Woman of the Year. She is also a member of the Financial Executives Networking Group, the American Institute of CPAs and Financial Executives International.
