A noteworthy and exemplary leader in marine engineering, Paula Anne Tuziak has thrived in her role with the Marine Engineers Beneficial Association. Over the years, she has gained a detailed knowledge of all areas of knowledge relating to financial, environmental and policy relations in the industry, which, combined with her organizational and change management skills, made her the perfect candidate to be a 3rd assistant engineer. Furthermore, Ms. Tuziak is very conscientious about renewable and sustainable energy development policies and procedures for enhanced implementation. She loves the fact that her job enables her to travel and provides adequate finances.

As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Tuziak attributes her success to knowing that there is more than one way to accomplish things and finding creative, outside-the-box solutions. She prepared for her endeavors by earning a Bachelor of Science in engineering technology from California Maritime University, and hopes to further her career by upgrading her sailing license through the Coast Guard. Ms. Tuziak has been inspired by the likes of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., and Elon Musk because of their integrity, perseverance, and drive to get what they believed in. Looking forward, she hopes to make a difference in the lives of others through volunteer work.

In her spare time, Ms. Tuziak enjoys participating in Kajukenbo Martial Arts. She is also an honored member of The International Women’s Leadership Association, and would advise the younger generations to not be afraid to speak their minds in a non-defensive way.
