Driven by her ability to encourage and her passion for helping others find their potential, Vicki Reynolds decided to pursue a career in education. She joined Chino Valley Unified School District in 1981, and has been there ever since. Ms. Reynolds finds great joy in watching the light go on in her students’ eyes when they finally get what she teaches, whether it be learning to read or learning a lesson. She considers her greatest professional accomplishment to be when parents contact her and tell her about how she influenced their kids’ achievements.
The biggest challenge Ms. Reynolds faced was balancing motherhood, marriage, and her job, but she has managed to make it work. She intends to continue writing curriculum for the district and to encourage more first generation students to go to college. To stay on top of her field, Ms. Reynolds maintains affiliation with the English Language Arts Curriculum Writing Team, and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and credentials in multi-subjects K-12. She is also a member of The International Women’s Leadership Association, and supports Partners in Potential, Samaritan’s Purse, and Relay for Life. Ms. Reynolds hopes to be remembered for her warmth, her love of children, and for having a positive influence.
