With nearly four decades of professional experience, Susan Bruett is a veteran of the insurance industry. She began her career back in the early ‘70s, when the company she worked for had an aviation insurance position open. Although she was a clerk at the time, she really wanted that job, and the person who had the role before her encouraged her to go for it, so she did. Ms. Bruett’s career has blossomed from there, leading her to open her own business, Bruett Insurance Agency, Inc., in 2007. There, she uses the skills she acquired over the years to provide products like homeowners, renters, flood, auto, personal umbrella, motorcycle, boat, and commercial insurance.

As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Bruett attributes her success to the people in her life who have supported her along the way. Further, she is very empathetic, and loves being around people, which is perfect for her career. Looking forward, Ms. Bruett intends to train others in the industry. She is inspired by her love for life.

Along her journey, Ms. Bruett earned a property and casualty license and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She also completes continuing education to stay abreast of changes in the insurance field, and maintains affiliation with the local chamber of commerce, the WIN Network, and The International Women’s Leadership Association. When Ms. Bruett has spare time, she enjoys biking and walking.
