Inspired by her grandparents, who survived the Holocaust, were used in medical experiments, and never let the past get them down, Cindy Mazur set out to better the reputation of medical research. She has been in the industry of oncology research for nine years now, and has progressed from working for small companies to Novartis, a major pharmaceutical corporation. As an expert clinical manager with a specialty in tumors, Ms. Mazur is currently making huge strides using immuno-oncology. She hopes to be remembered for making a difference in the world and doing something that matters.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Mazur earned post-certifications and studied research. She is proud of surviving in the field without advanced degrees, as it is unusual for something as highly technical as oncology. Ms. Mazur feels that there are always struggles in life, and that the best way to overcome these hardships is to prove oneself. Moving forward, she hopes to start her own company and create a simple system in integrated medical science. Ms. Mazur would also like to work to integrate patients into user-friendly studies that use technology to gain a better understanding of analytics.
