Always up for a challenge, Kristin Dryden loves the opportunities physical therapy brings. She joined the field after spending a lot of time in physical therapy herself as a child. Inspired by her experience, Dr. Dryden went on to earn a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine and a master’s degree in physical therapy from St. Louis University. She also went through training in the companies she’s worked for to learn how to lead and build effective teams.

All of the knowledge and skills Dr. Dryden gained led her to Athletico, a prominent physical therapy chain that offers more than 40 specialty rehabilitation, outreach, and fitness services. In her role as the facility manager, she treats patients and handles a variety of managerial responsibilities. When Dr. Dryden first took over, performance was not consistent. Under her guidance and leadership, however, the goals of the company have been met consistently for the past five years.

Although Dr. Dryden loves her career, if there was one thing she could change, she would like to have more time to develop staff, particularly the younger people, and get them excited about the profession.  She is a very good communicator and relates to people very well, making her perfect for the task. Dr. Dryden hopes to be remembered as a go-to person who could be counted on to handle complicated tasks and take the lead without question. She is currently an honored member of The International Women’s Leadership Association, and would advise the younger generations to find good mentors and reach for the stars; don’t be intimidated by others.  When Dr. Dryden isn’t working, she is an avid athlete who enjoys triathlons.
