Although Martina Steiger originally started out with a career in education, she decided mid-life to follow her true passion and went back to school for counseling. She considers her greatest strength to be working with people to help them discover their own inner resources and potential, which has made her extremely successful as the director of Creative Conscious Transformation Inc., a professional training and coaching company. Dr. Steiger loves that her job gives her the opportunity to connect with others and support them on their journeys. Moving forward, however, she would like to restructure her business to be more effective and to allow her to work more closely with teens and young adults.
To prepare for her career, Dr. Steiger earned a doctorate and a master’s degree in counseling, and a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in education. She also holds a coaching certificate. The biggest challenges Dr. Steiger had to overcome were the sudden death of her husband, dealing with her mom, who lives in Germany and has Alzheimer’s, and leaving a salaried position to open her own business. She is inspired by her passion for finding ways to be more present and interact with others in a positive way. When she can, Dr. Steiger volunteers by teaching English to Syrian refugees and teaching adult education on death, dying, and end-of-life care at her church. Furthermore, she participates in ADEC and Spiritual Directive International, and is a member of The International Women’s Leadership Association. She enjoys walking, running, meditating, participating in a community garden project, and playing classical guitar, piano, and the recorder in her spare time.
