Title: Chief Financial Officer
Company: Midplains AG
Location: Elgin, NE United States

Tiffany Hemenway grew up on a farm, ranch and feedlot in Central Nebraska, where she was active in 4-H and FFA livestock and home environment projects. Her experiences on the farm and in these activities lead her to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she graduated with a degree in accounting and agribusiness in 2010. While working toward her master’s degree, which she earned from Midland University in 2012, Ms. Hemenway worked at Rhea Cattle Company and Dehy Alfalfa Mills. As a member of their accounting staff, she learned on the job the importance of clear financial statements and accurate inventory management. Ms. Hemenway also became experienced in accounts receivable. Prior to these positions, she worked for the First National Bank Northeast Hooper Branch, where she learned the value of good communication and strong customer service. These experiences combined to help Ms. Hemenway fit well into her current role with Midplains AG.

Since attending university and embarking on her present journey with Midplains AG, Ms. Hemenway’s love of agriculture, nurtured as youth by her parents, grandparents, and community, has only grown. Midplains AG is a consultancy dedicated to helping farm owners and operators collect and analyze geo-referenced data and implement decisions based on that analysis. They work with a wide range of data sets, including those from imagery, soils data, and yield data. In her role as the chief financial officer, Ms. Hemenway serves as a bookkeeper and client contact. Her responsibilities include data entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and helping her customers’ financials be as clear and understandable as possible. Ms. Hemenway’s position allows her to utilize both her passion for agribusiness and accounting.
