Northern Westchester Counseling Associates, LCSW, PLLC is a counseling practice that provides various types of treatments for children, adolescents, families, adults, couples and those who are chemically dependent.
Ms. Alfinito has worked in a psychiatric hospital for 10 years, and she has more than 29 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker. Prior to working with her current practice, she was in private practice for 12 years. She attributes her success to a combination of her skills and business sense. She became involved in her profession because she had many counselors who helped her in high school, and she wanted to give back.
Ms. Alfinito received a Master of Social Work from Fordham University in 1984, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pace University in 2005. She has also received a Bachelor of Science in social work from the The College of New Rochelle in 1982, and a diploma from the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists. Ms. Alfinito holds a certification in hypnosis, and she is a licensed clinical social worker with an additional certification in computerized diagnostic evaluations of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She maintains affiliation with the National Association of Social Workers. In years to come, Ms. Alfinito hopes to increase the types of rehabilitation provided and treat a wider variety of people. She hopes to expand her offerings, since she only has one clinician on staff for substance abuse.
