Kim Woodruff-Adams is exceptionally dedicated to her current role as the system support specialist for Prince George’s County Public Schools. She came into the position due to a natural progression of skills and interests, and provides the district with computer and network security. Ambitious and self-motivated, Ms. Woodruff-Adams is very proud of her ongoing success. As a woman in today’s world, she attributes her achievements to the people she comes in contact with, as she feels that they have made her a better person.

Breaking into a male-dominated industry was certainly a challenge for Ms. Woodruff-Adams, but she didn’t let that stop her. She combined excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with integrity and ethical standards to create an environment in which she could thrive.  Looking forward, Ms. Woodruff-Adams hopes to participate in online mentoring with colleagues in a position similar to her own to promote ongoing learning, collaboration, and the development of leadership skills.

In the future, Ms. Woodruff-Adams hopes to be remembered for her dedication to supporting her family whenever the need arises. She is also involved with C.O.P.S., or Concerns of Police Survivors. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to helping the families and coworkers of police officers killed in the line of duty.
