After 15 years working with the Canadian government as a food inspector, Sandra Fulton decided to open her own business. Fulton Food Safety Inc. has been in operation for 17 years now, and is a registered training center by the British Retail Consortium. In her role with the company, Ms. Fulton she develops food safety programs for the food and beverage industry. She is inspired by both her ability to do what she loves and her great staff, who share her vision. The Fulton team is comprised of food industry professionals with extensive hands-on work experience.

The biggest challenge Ms. Fulton faced was training people to understand their responsibilities, but using creativity, she has been able to overcome it. Now, she prides herself on her ability to train people in a language they are able to understand. Over the course of her career, Ms. Fulton has earned the respect of the government agencies that manage food. She hopes that one day, the government and the industry will work and train together on policies and procedures.

Ms. Fulton prepared for her career by earning a diploma in food science and a certification as a wheat food inspector. She is also a certified auditor for Canada in regards to approaches for food safety. Ms. Fulton participates with the Canadian Wheat Council, CFIA, and GFSI. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, swimming, reading, and hanging out with her family. Additionally, Ms. Fulton supports the local hockey teams.
