Pursuing work as a marketing and advertising specialist for the U.S. Army Cadet Command, Chevonne Woodard also fulfills her passion to help others by serving as a PMF communications officer at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. There, she reviews and edits industry certification training materials, while assisting with the updates and edits to the HUD.gov Single Family content. At the U.S. Army Cadet Command, Ms. Woodard mainly develops new content for their social media outlets, increasing the public awareness of their services.

As a woman in today’s world, Ms. Woodard feels that not giving up and having a positive outlook as contributed to her success. The advice that she can give to the younger generation of women is, “Find a mentor, manage your own careers, and do not be afraid to try new things. Believe in yourself!” Ms. Woodard has obtained an MBA from Roosevelt University in 2013, having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual communications from The Illinois Institute of Art, Chicago nearly ten years prior.
