When Daisy Jones-Brown had a negative salon experience resulting in chemical burns, she decided to prevent this from happening to others by developing and marketing her own safe beauty products. Her entrepreneurial spirit led to her founding Born Beautiful LLC., through which she promotes five products that are natural and cost-effective. Because she is familiar with the ingredients, Ms. Jones-Brown can assure potential customers of her products’ benefits and their adherence to health standards.

Ms. Jones-Brown has copious business experience ranging from working for Mary Kay to selling candles. She prepared for her independent venture by participating in a veteran’s entrepreneur program from the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she learned the necessary skills to start her own business. Her products are currently being sold through salons such as Braid, Dreds & Beyond, Like Never B4 Hair Salon and Manna Grocery, as well as her online store. With products ranging from hair whip to shea butter, Ms. Jones-Brown hopes to benefit her customers through her quality goods and show them they can customize their own products to suit their personal needs.

Because of the level of integrity she maintains within her beauty line, Ms. Jones-Brown hopes to take her products to the national level in the future. Passionate about reaching out to others who have natural hair, she is willing to take risks in her profession in order to achieve her desired result. In her other pursuits, she maintains a membership with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing communities with support and public service. She has also received numerous military awards and honors. In her free time, Ms. Jones-Brown enjoys reading and traveling to new places.
