Location: Lewisville, Texas
Professionally, Susan Ogle feels her greatest accomplishment has been her commitment to living the life of a servant leader. Drawing upon her strong empathy, she has been the director and treasurer of Haitian Pilgrims, a nonprofit mission dedicated to helping the poor in Haiti, for 15 years. Ms. Ogle initially got in involved with the organization when she participated in a mission trip in 2001. She has since encouraged many villages become self-sufficient and helped develop healthcare education and leadership programs, doing everything she can to make a difference in the lives of others through her vocational pursuits.
Ms. Ogle feels that a background with an education-based company contributed to her success; before her involvement with Haitian Pilgrims, she spent 25 years in management, working with a company that focused on employee development. Inspired by the hopes and dreams of the children she works with, she feels she sees the face of Jesus in the face of the poor and plans to continue her work in the long term, hoping to expand it to other organizations in Haiti. Her charitable endeavors extend to her support of Hope for Haiti and Garioch. When she isn’t working, Ms. Ogle enjoys golf, singing in the choir and spending time with friends.
