According to Regina Ozoemela, there are two kinds of choices: active choices through which you bring about change, and passive choices in which you stick to the status quo. As the owner and chief executive officer for Unlimited Delight, LLC., as well as a published writer, Ms. Ozoemela has clearly dedicated her career to the former. Through her book, Success Against All Odds: Five Secrets of Rapid Change, she guides readers toward life and career inspiration, encouraging them not to waver at obstacles. Ms. Ozoemela’s company, Unlimited Delight LLC., focuses on advertising products to niche markets by way of user-friendly websites. When Ms. Ozoemela came to the U.S., she found herself abandoned by her husband and his family and left to raise three children on her own. Resolving to turn her life around, she earned a master’s degree in international business and a bachelor’s degree in business management, both from Southern New Hampshire University. She then spent 26 years in a steady corporate position, but felt it was difficult to move forward in that particular career and ultimately decided to shift professional gears. Bolstered by her life experiences, education, training and volunteer work, Ms. Ozoemela decided to help women feeling similar occupational dissatisfaction achieve their dreams of finding a fulfilling career.
Taking the plunge into entrepreneurship came with its own set of struggles. At the start of her business, Ms. Ozoemela experienced a fear of failure, but she refused to listen to any of her doubts, opting instead to steadfastly pursue her goals of helping other women reach their potential. She cites her brother and his wife, two people who never let anything stand in the way of their career goals, as her greatest inspirations. Similarly focused on reaching her ambitions, Ms. Ozoemela encourages others to make big changes for themselves in their professional lives as well, advising them to take risks, follow their dreams and utilize the resources she provides.
Ms. Ozoemela feels her greatest professional strength is her ability to design plans for life’s situations and follow through. She is proud of help her clients dream again and hopes to be ultimately remembered for giving back to her community.
