Patricia Garrett’s career happened by luck. She originally was in medical school and got pregnant, so took time to raise her daughter instead of continuing. Her sister was a teacher and suggested she try education, she went back to college, obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology, and began working in hospitals. Ms. Garrett’s advanced to clinical coordinator of the Milwaukee Area Technical College, drawing upon 20 years of expertise working with students, helping them obtain their goals.
The biggest challenge in Ms. Garrett’s career has been trying to find something that works and staying consistence. Her greatest strength is working with students and having them achieve their goals. Throughout her career, her vision has been her most important inspiration as guidance. During her free-time, Ms. Garrett enjoys travelling and volunteering locally.
