Retiring 33 years in the legal field, Diana Boernstein completed the last leg of her profession as an attorney at the United Nations. She dedicates her success to her Columbia University teacher, Ruth Ginseberg, who inspired her to be the lawyer she had been for so long. Ms. Boerstein also attended school in South Africa.

Ms. Boerstein also worked in London with the Anti-Slave Society in 1960. For 10 years she traveled to Haiti and Asia.
