Attributing her last four years in health care to her tenacity and hard work at Best Lifestyle Residence Inc., Pauline Christian serves the nursing home as chief executive officer and president successfully through her spiritual drive, and belief in the community she has built. As an expert leader, strategic planner, and team mobilizer, she participates in community outreach within the residency and pulls in fundraising events and contributions. And Ms. Christian’s efforts haven’t gone unnoticed, as she has received the Queen Jubilee Award for Community Work in Canada, the Diamond Jubilee Award, and the International Women’s Achievers Award.

Ms. Christian worked for Bell Canada for 28 years before leaving to run her own nursing home business. She is a successful business woman and loves giving back to her community. She became involved in her profession because of a personal experience, where her husband became ill. She and her family had to go through this huge change of life, so a friend suggested she start her own company. In five years, Ms. Christian wants to open two more nursing homes, and is in the process of now building a home for the Black Business and Professional Association, of which she is president. .
