From Ms. Ziencik: “After 20 years working as operating room nurse and doing all specialties, I began open heart and all types of cardiovascular procedures often as a first assistant to the surgeon. The last few years I was the or charge nurse and that is the position from which I retired at a 20 year mark. I was contacted by Grand Strand Medical Center as the hospital was looking for a manager for the open heart surgical team and I accepted the position. After a few years I transferred Same Day Surgery. It was Time for me to stop call and enjoy less stress! After 15 years I retired in June of 2014. I am enjoying work in a free standing surgical center maybe 2 or 3 days a week if I am needed.

“Over the course of many years I wrote things about my feelings maybe regarding life, children, and all the things we all encounter as we walk down the road of life. Thus, the my “WATERCOLORED MEMORIES” was written, and most of the photographs were taked by myself. I am proud to say it was published by Amazon in 2010.

“As a single Mother of two sons I had many second jobs from ED to a cleaning business. I now enjoy five wonderful grandchildren. Life has been a great ride and continues to be full of surprises.”
