Initially, Deborah Groda became involved in her profession because after working in critical care for 20 years, she wanted a less stressful position. She has since become a registered nurse, and has worked with chemotherapy patients at Compass Oncology NW Cancer Specialists for the past nine years. In five years, Ms. Groda intends to consider new opportunities and offer consulting.

As an expert in oncology and critical care, Ms. Groda continues her success as a registered nurse through her commitment, loyalty, and passion for helping others. Throughout her work-week, she holds a phone triage with eight different physicians to help out with patient services in the treatment room. Ms. Groda also relates to patients over the phone, and eases them in person to subdue their fears and anxieties by injecting some humor.

Ms. Groda has also received a Associate Degree in nursing.
