For nearly 40 years, Rosanna Michela worked within the social work arena, retiring as a child proactive case worker within the long-term care division of Albany County Department for Children, Youth and Families. As a locally governmental-sponsored service department, she provided expertise in placement, children’s rights, and most importantly long-term family care. There, she conducted home visits to ensure the health and safety of children, attended family court, worked to reunite families, and coordinated with other agencies on behalf of children and their families.
