She prepared for her career by achieving a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Grambling State University, and as she continued, she realized that this was her passion and what God wanted her to do. The biggest challenges that Ms. Hill has overcome throughout her career is that some men don’t necessarily view women in a positive light when in leadership roles and they try to override and undercut her authority as a supervisor within this industry.
