Hardworking, dedicated and persistent, Pamela Powers has spent the past 22 years serving Bay Alarm Company. The security business is the largest of its kind in California, and strives to keep communities safe across the state. Ms. Powers started out as a customer service representative, and naturally progressed to her current position as the vice president of training and development. In her role, she is responsible for the growth of the organization’s most important resources: its employees.
The biggest challenge Ms. Powers faced was establishing herself in her extremely male-dominated industry. She has a strong ability to relate to her colleagues, and with her emotional intelligence and reliable nature, she has become a trusted voice among her affiliates. Ms. Powers is also noted for her tendency to find the positives in the negative and for looking at all perspectives. If she could offer some advice to the younger generations, it would be to fight for the things that are important.

She is adept at generating leads, making phone calls, and connecting with people, and considers her greatest accomplishment to be getting listing appointments.

She has been with them for the past 23 years now, even staying on after her move to the United States in 2006. Ms. Gavilanes is proud that the chance she took to pursue her career paid off. She currently uses her instinct for sales and her organizational skills to thrive as a workstation sales specialist.
